Since when is walking to school such a work out....

Either I'm out of shape or in need of some good walking shoes because my heels are in pain. Why? Let's see I walked my 5 year old to afternoon classes and walked almost a mile to get her there. My van decides to break down on me on the worst time...the cold season. With the hubby taking the only working vehicle to his job I got stuck with walking.I thought just being able to work from home plus take care all of the other duties mommies have was a work out but man was I wrong. I will say it was a work out and my 5 year old managed to make it fun with all kinds of crazy questions not to mention walking slow but she always had a smile on her face. So why should I complain but she did tell me not even half way into the walk "Mommy I'm tired." We did manage to see some birds of prey along with a corn field that was hidden with crows picking at the corn. I also managed to see a plane flying around that field which I can only explain was crop dusting. Conveniently enough this was located right next to her school. Living in the country has taken some getting use to especially for this born bread city girl. I do love it here. So much more quiet, laid back and everything is pretty close. But I still need to walk more. =]
Well the holidays are upon us again and I'm half way done with my shopping. The kids this year made it pretty difficult with where to buy what they wanted. Thankfully online shopping made it easy or we'd be in trouble. Also on a sad note I lost my only technical device that was basically my life...my Ipod. And where of all places on a table top inside off Chukie Cheese's. Can you believe that? During a birthday party for my nephew I decide not to take my purse and place everything in my pockets. Then I forget to put my Ipod back into my pocket before I took my niece to the bathroom. What do I do, I set it on the table? Oh did I feel so bad especially because it was a Christmas gift last year from the hubby. I'll admit it I cried when i got home. I know it's only a material thing but it was my life and had sentimental value. not to mention lots of pictures & videos of my kids. The worse part was having to change all of my passwords and remove my payment method from itunes. Oh my music! Why are we so dependent of technology? I hope who ever took it never breaks my code to get into it and later feel guilty for stealing what wasn't theirs to begin with. Oh well I should just let it go and wish no ill will. Anyway Christmas for us will be different this year from what we've been accustomed to with my extended family, we'll be with my in laws. I'm excited just as much as my kids are. I already have my 5 year old ask me everyday if it's Christmas time and where are the presents. Even a calendar count down isn't enough for her.

I love this time of year and to feel like a kid again even if it's for a brief time is great. And it's reminding me I really need to excersie more. =[
